What is the difference between a public and private event?

A Public Event on Feather differs from a private one in the following ways:

  • The event is discoverable through search on Feather
  • The event page can be found by search engines like Google
  • Public events have greater visibility and can attract more attendees
  • The event appears on your public calendar

How do I set my event to public?

Section titled “How do I set my event to public?”

Go to your event page and click the settings cog next to the event name. Then click “Edit Event”. In the event settings, find the visibility settings section and select “Public”. This will make your event discoverable on Feather.
